The remarkable $6billion transformation of Sydney's Barangaroo district

The remarkable transformation of the once barren and abandoned Barangaroo site on Sydney's world-famous harbour has been captured in a series of aerial photographs.

The 22-hectare site on the western edge of Sydney Harbour has been under construction for four years, with more than $6 billion to be spent creating the new space which will on completion boast a six-star casino, a green foreshore park with more than 75,000 plants and a sparkling new financial district.

After more than 100 years of being closed off to the public, the neglected part of Sydney located along the waterfront between King Street Wharf and Walsh Bay is finally being brought back to life by the project.
